fat or carb?

Food questions – Is it a fat or a carb? & can I eat this with that?
(The answers to all these questions, and many more, are in
"Stop Counting Calories & Start Losing weight: The Harcombe Diet").

Q)    With natural yoghurt, should I have this after having a fat meal or after having a carb one?
Q)    Can I eat avocados?
Q)    I’m a Vegetarian, but I'm not a big fan of things like Tofu and Quorn and had thought that lentils e.g. mung beans, would be a good substitute for meat? However, your book (“Why do you overeat?”) has pulses and beans listed as carbohydrates. Do they contain both? If so, how can I get some protein in my diet without mixing protein and carbs in one meal and not eating meat or Tofu/Quorn/soya?
Q)    How about hummus? What would that be classed as?
Q)    What is Tofu made of?
Q)    What is Quorn made of?
Q)    Are nuts allowed?
Q)    I would be grateful to know which category seeds come under and are they are allowed in Phase 2?
Q)    Are olives classed as protein or carbs? I eat a lot of them but I am not sure when I should and shouldn't eat them?
Q)    Are pulses such as kidney beans and chick peas, lentils etc classed as protein or carbs? Should I have them when I have my carb meal or my protein one?
Q) Could I have cheese with a baked potato, or would I have to eat it separately?
Q)    I’m doing Phase 1 and today I had egg, tomato, onion and brown rice for my breakfast, and then speaking to my friend (who gave me the book and is also following the diet) she said I'm not to mix the egg and rice together. Isn’t this just in Phase 2 or have I done it wrong already?
Q)    Can I eat brown rice with meat?
Q)    How do you get over the problem of always having potatoes or being given potatoes at a meal? It is just the done thing, which means you are having carbohydrate and fat at every main meal.
